Cecilia is a hand-spinner of luxurious yarns for knitting, crochet, weaving, embroidery and darning. She spins on spinning wheels and spindles, which she often takes with her out-and-about in the local countryside, where she gathers inspiration for the colours and textures in her yarn. Cecilia uses wool from the Johnby flock of Blue-faced Leicester sheep in her village as well as mohair from her own angora goats. She has written articles about her spinning for the real wool campaign www.wovember.com
Cecilia designs knitting and crochet patterns and has contributed designs to books, such as Hookorama by Rachael Matthews. She demonstrat es and teaches spinning and especially enjoys helping people on the path to woolliness.
With Wool Clip co-worker Jean Wildish, Cecilia also dyes mill-spun yarns, fleece and fibres for spinning and felting which they sell together as Wild Wood Wool.
