Debbie lives in Great Asby near Appleby and she joined the Wool Clip in 2012. She was introduced to feltmaking in 1992 while studying City and Guilds patchwork and quilting.
The inspiration for Debbie’s work comes from her everyday surroundings - the changing landscape, flowers and the patterns created in old patchwork quilts. As well as felt pictures, she also makes felt bags, corsages, cards and individual needle felted Herdwick sheep and hares.
Debbie sells a range of wet feltmaking kits so you can have a go yourself - including sheep, landscape, and flowers. She also sells needle felting kits for Herdwick sheep, Swaledale sheep and hares
Debbie has over 16 years experience teaching all types of Feltmaking in schools and in further education, she runs regular workshops at Higham Hall near Cockermouth, Cumbria.
