Emma Redfern

Emma is a self taught seamstress, working with tweed to make bags, purses and other accessories. Her love of combining different patterns and fabrics, with an obsessive attention to detail, has gained her the loyal support of many Facebook fans from where she runs a business page and sells her work. She also teaches bag making workshops locally in Cumbria and further afield for HF Holidays.

Emma works a lot with Harris tweed and has recently collaborated with fellow Wool Clip member, Jan Beadle, using her handwoven cloth to make bags and purses. Having moved to Cumbria five years ago, she has been inspired by its vibrant community of spinners and weavers and using locally woven cloth is something she would love to do more of, so watch this space! Her work can also currently be found at Rheged, in their Harris Tweed shop.
