Jane Bardgett - Textile Artist

Jane was born and grew up on the Cumbrian fells and now lives just down the road in Hesket Newmarket, she joined the wool clip in September 2022.

Jane has a BA honours in 3-Dimensional design and trained as a seamstress.

Jane specialises in Needle felted animal pictures but also likes to create using the wet felting and 3D needle felting techniques, her work is mainly inspired by the animal kingdom, from beloved pets (commissioned work) and farm animals to natures wilder ones.

Jane also runs regular workshops throughout Cumbria teaching the different felting techniques, for beginners too improvers. Dressmaking courses are also something she offers to those wanting to improve their sewing skills.
