Jean Wildish

Jean Wildish is a textile artist from Penruddock. She began trading as
Tinker Tailors in 2008 and joined the Wool Clip in 2009. An inherited
reluctance to throw things away provided Jean with early opportunities
to design and make. Trading as Tinker Tailors, Jean makes things out of
stuff - from handspun art yarns to quirky upcycled accessories; as Wild
Wood Wool, Jean produces a repeatable range of hand-dyed natural yarns
and fibres, some of which are available as kits; and most recently, as
Tailor’s Ink, a love of colourful self-expression has resulted in a
range of one-off hand-dyed garments.
Inspired by woodland and Lakeland, Jean’s collection of things
incorporate natural fibres, recycled fabrics and found objects.
