Monday 23rd of February 2015

The start to 2015 has been a really busy one.

We managed to squeeze in a co-operative meal (postponed Christmas celebration) in January but have also been juggling cleaning, decorating and restocking the shop at Caldbeck in time for re-opening on 14 February plus working on Herdwick pieces to contribute to Ian Lawson's photographic exhibition at Rheged.

Add to that the creation of items to sell in the Gallery shop at Rheged (and our own new stock!) and you can see why we're all recovering from our winter "closure".

We were invited last year to submit possible Herdwick wool pieces to accompany an exhibition of Ian Lawson's amazing Herdwick: A Portrait of Lakeland photographs.  As some of you will know, we did something similar a couple of years ago for the WOW exhibition and that generated a lot of interest so we were keen to get involved again this year.

Unfortunately, not all our pieces made it into the space available but a selection of our work is shown here and, once the Rheged exhibition closes on 19 April, we're working on having all our creations on display at another local venue and then at Woolfest in June too.
