Jan Beadle
Having completed her degree in textiles in the mid 80’s Jan worked at University of Cumbria formally the Institute of the Arts managing the Textile Resource Department. In 2010 she decided to concentrate full time making and exhibiting her own work specialising in woven textiles.
Jan designs and makes contemporary woven textiles from her home in Cumbria. Her work in The Wool Clip is a diverse range of handwoven scarves and wraps. She also likes to weave tweed for soft furnishings particularly supporting the local Herdwick breed
Jan regularly runs weave courses and workshops for a wide range of abilities
She has been a member of The Wool Clip since 2013 and she is currently secretary for the cooperative
