Our Caldbeck Shop
Our shop is in Priest’s Mill in the lovely village of Caldbeck. There is parking alongside the mill and The Wool Clip is clearly signposted from the road to Hesket Newmarket.
We started out in a small unit in 2001, across the courtyard from the current shop. We then expanded to double the size before moving into the current unit in 2009. Finally, we extended around the corner in 2012 and now have as much floor space as possible to showcase our work and welcome visitors.
Opening times up to the end of 2025: Every day including Mondays, 11.00am to 4.00pm each day.
Christmas and New Year 2025/2026: Please note that the shop will close for Christmas at 4.00pm on Tuesday 23rd December, re-opening (weather permitting) on Saturday 27th until Tuesday 30th. We will be open for a few days after the New Year's holiday (2nd, 3rd and 4th of January) but then closed from Sunday 4th January until mid-February for our winter break and re-stock, re-opening on Saturday 14th February 2026.
OUR ONLINE SHOP IS OPEN 24/7 ALTHOUGH RESPONSES TO ENQUIRIES AND DISPATCH OF ORDERS RELY ON SOMEONE SOURCING ITEMS FROM THE "REAL" SHOP.

We’re proud to celebrate the heritage of Priest’s Mill and inside the shop there is a display of artefacts from its days as a water-powered mill, first for corn and then as a sawmill. Please ask whichever one of us is on duty in the shop if you’d like to find out more, as we have local history materials available to browse.
