The Wool Clip co-operative is looking for new members to join the existing team and to share their passion for the best of British wool and wool crafts.
Currently celebrating its 25th year, The Wool Clip aims for a membership of between 10 and 20 individual artisan wool crafters. Over 60 people have been involved over the 25 years since it was established in 2001, each member bringing something unique to the award-winning co-operative.
Linda Bennett is one of those working on the current recruitment drive: "Membership of The Wool Clip offers much more than just a place to sell," she says. "It is an opportunity to become part of a supportive creative community: sharing ideas, skills, suppliers and inspiration while helping to run a successful shop that none of us could operate alone."
The Wool Clip offers support to new members and encourages people to use their different skills and expertise to contribute to the ongoing success of the co-operative.
"Anyone who lives sufficiently close to Caldbeck, where we're based, to spend three days working in the shop each month is welcome to get in touch to find out more," says Linda. "Or, if they're keen to apply, they can download the details of what's involved, how we work and what information we need in the first instance here."
