Still time to enter 25th Anniversary Awards

You'll read in our other blogs that the first seven 25th Anniversary Awards were announced at the opening of our Farfield Mill exhibition on 2nd September. That's seven Cumbria-based wool businesses who have each received a Wool Clip "bursary" of £250 to help their business to develop.

Karen Britton plans to use hers to improve her labelling and fair displays and also to fund Shopify so that she can start an online shop. Denise Bryan is using hers to help fund a City & Guilds course in weaving. Sara Turton is using hers to buy equipment that will help her to run weaving workshops - she has an ambition to take looms into schools. Every winner plans to do something different - what would you do?

It's not too late to apply for an Award - the final closing date for applications is Monday 30th November and the details are below.

PS We're not yet sure of how many more 25th Anniversary Awards we'll be able to fund so please, if you know of any business or individual who might be able to donate to the fund, let them know more and put them in touch. Thank you.
